I think it’s dumb for Ottawa because your giving away a bunch of your future for guys who won’t actually push you into the playoffs or any kind of contender.

Just not the pieces Ottawa should be looking for right now. Nashville is also getting the two better players. I like Ellis but playing with Josi helps him, no one in Ottawa is close to that talent so I think you would see a significant decline in his play, but you would see a decline in anyone’s play in Ottawa not named Karlson, Doughty or Herman most likely.

I agree, I just saw this on HFBoards (infamous for unrealistic trade proposals). The people on that site said it would be bad for Nashville not Ottawa. Ottawa dosen't need Ellis right now or want to get rid of Tkachuk right now either. If Ottawa wants to get rid of just Stone, this is an underwhelming return for them.

I think it doesn't make sense for Ottawa. However, from Ottawa's side I would do Stone and Ceci for Ellis, Fiala, 1st

Okay. This makes a bit for sense for the Sens.

I'd do this from a Nashville perspective. Fiala is great but with Tolvanen we're a bit left wing heavy. It clears space for Tolvanen on the 2nd line. Ellis is better than Ceci has been but I bet if we put Ceci on the second pairing with Josi and behind Subban/Ekholm, Ceci would thrive.
