Whats wrong with Brouwer? I thought he was a decent player just on a bad contract?

18-year-old Bouchard in the top-4 isn't a great development strategy. Sign a defenseman.

Sorry this isn't any old NHL team this is the Oilers. If you're a 1st rounder you're in the NHL to bust or become a star no inbetween!

There is no such thing as development in Junior & the AHL thats only for loser teams like Pitsburgh, Washington and Chicago.

Game has passed him by. Struggles to keep up, his hands are even worse now than ever. He was given every opportunity in Calgary to succeed and he didn't do it. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't find a job this winter. Which is too bad because he seems like such a nice guy and was a big part of the community here
