Through the month of august I will make a quick review of all the 31 teams in the NHL. I'll add a sign or trade if necessary to make the adjustments. Today the Los Angeles Kings. Last year was a learning year for L.A. they adjust to a new more offense coach. They did well.in regular season but come playoff time they couldn't score goals. Quick had a ridiculous 1.55 gaa and .947 SA% and still loss. To adjust that they acquired former superstar Kovalchuk. He can still score but the league is younger and faster while he got older and slower. I still expect him to reach 30 goals based on the fact this will be the better he played for with the likes of Kopitar, Carter, Brown up front. On defense they were the best of the league so no need the change. Doughty, Muzzin, Martinez form and a good group and Phaneuf could also be a good mentor for the younger guys to come up. In net Quick is one the best when he's on the top of his game and Budaj had success in L.A. a couple years ago so it's a good tandem. Ideally the Kings should address the left side but since they got little cap space and no major contract out their book at the end of next season, they should stay put and go with the group they already have and once come playoff time anything can happens.
