The trade might look a little light but when you consider what Carolina got for skinner and Faulk is worth less then skinner the trade seems pretty fair

I dont understand how people say Faulk is worth less than Skinner. Skinner had a FULL NMC and only provided a handful of teams he would go to. Couple that with his concussion history, streaky play, ATROCIOUS defensive ability and only one year left on his deal while refusing to sign and trade......there is no way Skinner is worth more than Faulk, that's just bad math.

Faulk, while he had a bad year last year (but who didnt on our defense) has proven he can score from the blue line, has 2 years left on a VERY team friendly deal and is a coveted natural righty, which some teams desperately need. Also, we do not need to trade him at all. He can play on our third pair against 3rd and 4th lines where he can focus on what he does best, shoot the puck and not have to cover the top FWDs for the other team.

Faulk isnt going anywhere for what you and other people have been offering. It pains me how little people (not you, just in general) can't look past just the surface level information when it comes to Faulk and Skinner. There are so many more factors at play here.

Agree with Rcsherwo You are no where near close in value. Faulk to the oilers starts with Puljujarvi/1st round no protection +

I was gonna put bear in the trade instead of benson but I saw on a different thread that carolina has no interest in defensemen

and you are a joke for even considering what you offered as even close to value for Faulk. the Coilers are rich in forwards and need defense and other teams are not going to just give it to you for nothing.

Just because your GM makes terrible trades doesn't mean the rest of the league is going to do the same for you

See Rcsherwo comment for an answer to your statement. Also just because the GM made a trade that is seen as some what light on return for Skinner doesn't mean hes going to do it again with Faulk. That way of thinking is ridiculous unless your name is Peter Chiarelli

Skinner wanted out and Carolina wanted him out so they made a trade at the best offer.
