Why would Cup contender Nashville trade their Norris finalist defenseman?

Klefbom is a good player, but he doesn't expand or extend the Cup window.

Because next year they will have 15mill to sign Renne, Josi, Hartman, Fiala, Sissons. Is it doable, sure with their GM, they may not be getting a norris candidate dman back, but still a top 4 with half of subban salary.

Agreed. The other problem is that Russell is not only in the lineup, he’s on the 2nd pair. That’s a disaster.

Rinne more than likely won't command another $7M contract as a 36 year old.

Josi will be extension eligible but has another season to go at $4M.

Poile will trade Smith or Bonino to clear cap room before he would trade PK.
