That's basically Niemela and a 1st for Saros and Carrier. Not gonna get it done.

Nashville blockbuster
NSH declines. Not nearly enough. Minten and a 1st MAYBE gets Barry Trotz listening on Saros but probably isn't enough on its own.
Samsonov, Timmins and a 5th are all throw-ins and don't nearly get NSH to move on Schenn and Trenin.

Nashville should take this and run, but I doubt Mercer is on the table, and it sounds like Trotz doesn't want a goalie as part of the return</div></div>
Trotz may want to keep Askarov in Milwaukee for the playoff run so taking a goalie back isn't off the table, but I wouldn't assume it to be part of the overall value of the trade either.

I don't think the Kings have any interest in Trenin. I wouldn't mind McCarron though.
Turcotte is worth a lot more than Kaliyev right now. I don't think the Kings are keen on trading him.
Honestly, from a Kings perspective, I'd rather just do Lankinen and McCarron for Kaliyev and a 3rd or something.</div></div>
All fair points, though I would say Trenin is unquestionably a better overall player than McCarron and gives up nothing in the physicality department. A smaller deal centered around Lankinen and Kaliyev could probably be of interest. I like the creative thinking.

NSH declines. Sissons is an important role player so two throw-ins and a 3rd don't generate much interest.

On the right path, but Zadorov doesn't hold much interest for NSH. They're already deep down the left side.
Kuzmenko would probably be the more attractive piece.

That's basically Minten, Robertson and a 1st for three proven NHLers, one of whom is elite at his position. Not gonna get it done.
Reaves, Samsonov and Timmins are throw-ins. They don't move the needle for NSH.

Yeah that was more of a "pick a team for salary/roster purposes" than a specific fit.
Novak won't come cheap. He's really highly regarded by the Predators org.

It's roughly the same cost as OTT paid for DeBrincat, who has a better resume. The 1st won't be as high but Zegras doesn't have multiple 40 goal seasons like DeBrincat.

Barrie is there to balance salaries, plus he could be flipped in the offseason for extra picks.

NSH Adding Offense for Playoff Race
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OkMan</b></div><div>Preds wouldn’t give away Fabbro unless they got an RHD back.</div></div>
Disagree. Fabbro has been outplayed by Carrier and realistically they can only pay significant $$ to one of them. Jordan Gross can fill the 3rd pair minutes at least this season. A lot easier to replace a defenseman playing 3rd pair minutes than finding a 2nd line scorer.

Boeser for RD
Oh that’s a good one. NSH probably agrees, especially if there is any question Forsberg won’t re-sign. Fabbro has improved significantly and is playing top pair with Josi but the possibility of another high-talent goal scorer hitting his prime is too much to pass up.

Just fooling around
NSH absolutely shouldn't do this. Who do we think Keller is? His best season was 65 points 5 years ago. Don't get me wrong, he's a good player and he'd fit in NSH but he's not worth a top 3 goalie prospect, a top 6 22 year old, an NHL ready defenseman and a 1st rounder.

Meh Maybe
NSH probably should decline this. A first, a second plus an NHL ready defenseman and a close to NHL ready winger is a heck of a lot for a rental, even one as good as Giroux.
Brassard doesn't move the needle, they have enough depth forwards.

Keller for Johansen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Yotes269</b></div><div>That’s an easy pass for Arizona</div></div>
Maybe not as much when you break it down:
Johansen - on a 65 point pace this season, plays a premium position, has a similar cap hit to Keller (AZ has to reach the cap floor) but 3 years less of term. AZ has Schmaltz and Hayton but not much else down the middle
Parssinen - has 27 point in 32 games playing 1C in Liiga at age 21
Plus two more picks in the top half of the draft over the next 2 years
There could be a little more wiggling to get the final form but NSH is offering more than it may look like.

A trade that works
NSH declines. Breaking the trade down:
Tolvanen, 1st, 2nd for Miller. Miller is an upgrade on Tolvanen today but not worth that cost.
Fabbro is much younger and Myers isn't any better. Fabbro's metrics are better pretty much across the board. This does nothing for NSH except saddle the roster with another older player with salary and term.

Petry1
NSH declines. They don't need Petry, certainly not for the cost of a 1st and one of the top scorers in the OHL. NSH is already one of the best defensive teams in the league. They would be more interested in scoring if there were a deal to be made.

Garland to NSH
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>I think Garland would fit well in NSH system. The second and third replenish some lost picks.
VAN is looking to make changes, and I think Garland is one of their bigger assets to trade (esp if they don't get what they want for Miller).
I do think that the offered prospects need to improve for this deal to work for them though.</div></div>
That's fair. Preds might be willing to offer Parssinen instead of Novak if VAN wants potential over NHL readiness. On the D side, maybe Davies or Stastney.
But... Garland has 4 more years at $5M per, only has 10 goals on the season and is on the trade block in his first year of a new contract. His value isn't exactly sky high.
