With Tomasino being ready now, Evangelista maybe another season away, then Kemell coming up after that, I don't want to see NSH using assets on a RW. I might feel differently if this was a good season for them to go all in for the playoffs, but this team isn't close to being there right now.

Preds wouldn’t give away Fabbro unless they got an RHD back.

I'd probably consider this from Van POV. I do think it'd be selling low on Boeser but if other moves aren't working to shed cap and bring in some help for the blue line maybe this is an option.

Much prefer to eat a bad salary that retain simply because we have other contracts we will almost certainly need to retain on.

Disagree. Fabbro has been outplayed by Carrier and realistically they can only pay significant $$ to one of them. Jordan Gross can fill the 3rd pair minutes at least this season. A lot easier to replace a defenseman playing 3rd pair minutes than finding a 2nd line scorer.

It looks like the won’t have to give any of Jeannot, Carrier, and Fabbro big money. All of them have been disappointing. If we trade Ekholm too, then we’ll have plenty of money to give out

I disagree on Gross too. He just isn’t an NHL-caliber guy defensively.
