Marchand had 85 points in 68 games. He makes this list with ease.
I think it’s a safe bet that barzal doesn’t have the same offensive success. He’s now getting the other teams focus instead of Tavares. His new coach actually cares about defense. I think 65 points is a fair bet for him.

I don't think Hall will be top-5 in scoring this year. Giroux was 2nd last year, where is he now?? What about Kopitar, Kessel and Wheeler?

no no, it's not that marchand and doughty could be there, they kind of have to be there. Marchand was 4th in the NHL in points per game last season. Doughty was 6th among d men in points i believe, and he's unreal defensively.

As for Barzal, sure, you can look at it like that. I think it's a pretty simplistic view though. He never faced the other teams top D last year. He will every night this season. He literally paid no attention to his d end last year. Trotz won't let that slide. I think 50 is more likely than 80. He could get better and still produce a lot less just due to competition. Factor coaching in and I don't think it's close.

i see Giroux, Kopitaar, kessel and Wheeler in the 80 - 85 point range. Just my opinion though. As for Hall, I think he has a similar season next year. Hischier is trending up, palmieri should hopefully be healthy, and Hall will build off of his hart trophy year.
