Bringing in the Ruskis and the taylor/tyler debate in same division

Created by: Spanky227
Team: 2019-20 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 30, 2018
Published: Aug. 30, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Just for fun, this all will not happen. This team would be scary if it did though..

Timeline:

Trade with STL

Trade with WPG

Trade with TBL

Signing of Panarin

Signing of Seguin-- he would never come if they couldn't push for the cup. Depends on how the rookies play this year, signing of panarin

Trade with DAL (would even through in a decent lhd prospect and 2nd round pick instead of spooner (a player like day, lindgren, etc))-- Zib replaces seguin as top line center is the main part for this deal.. Dal isn't too deep at top line centers or even 1a/1b centers

It'll be tough to keep this team together:
2020- kreider, namestnikov, vesey, fast
2021- Miro, Andersson, Chytil, Howden, Kyrou/Kostin, Foote --- holy contracts
2022- sheshtyorkin, kravtzov

Tampa and Dallas outright laugh in your face. STL deal is intriguing but I think they say no because of age and what they are giving up. And WPG probably says no as well.

i mean, sorry, but you just overrate the rangers players.

Shattenkirk is terrible. At this point he's a cap dump.

yeah putting up .5 ppg as a defenseman while playing with a torn knee is terrible.. just such a cap dump. like why bother, maybe we'll trade him for a case of red gatorade.
trading an under 25 top line center and a middle six forward for a high end defensive prospect? overrating players SOOOO much. Dallas fans posted before it would take hayes+spooner+ a 1st (tampas before last draft)... i would think zibanejad and spooner is pretty damn close

mcd for one year, 2 postseasons = howden, hajek, 1st rounder, 2nd that's a conditional first rounder
shattenkirk for 2 years, 3 postseasons isn't equal to a cap dump+ 1st rounder+ high end prospect? seems a little crazy for a defenseman that put up .5ppg with a torn knee on a shitty team. he put up 14 points in 19 games on washington. easily a 10 goal 50 point defenseman (how many RHD can do that?)

Now Hold on a minute... Trouba for some reason is on the outs with management. Hayes and a young D for him totally works for both teams. TBL have no fear of adding a contract like Shatty's. only 3 years remaining and Stl deal will never happen. Hank not going anywhere...PERIOD

yeah i agree on hank.. but tampa and wpg deals are more than fair. The Dallas one it depends on how you view it. They'd be without a #1 center, they get one in that deal. Seguin is better yes, but zib is a #1 center.

There’s your answer. These are HIGH END prospects. Heisk especially, he’s one of the best LHD prospects there is. And Foote alone isn’t worth Shatty. He’s just not good anymore. Tampa has no interest in moving Foote+ for him. And with Heiskanen, Zib+Spoons is not even close to enough. Zib is a 2C on most teams, he’s only considered a 1C because the Rangers suck. And DAL doesn’t need another middle 6 C with Spoons. They already have Janmark and Faksa.

Shattenkirk is so bad in his own end. St. Louis was dying to get rid of him. Washington bit. Then they pretty much benched him in the playoffs, and were happy to see him leave.

Sorry, but he's a powerplay specialist that is a liability 5 on 5. Maybe if there was a team that desperately needed PP help, they might offer up a 2nd and a mid tier prospect. His contract is very bad for his performance though.
