I don't think Edmonton would want something like this. They might do something like Klefbom and Draisaitl for Barrie + Jost + pick

I don’t believe that’s the package the Oilers would ask for. I think Draisait and Klefbom for Rantanen, Makar and a 2019 first. No reason for Oilers to trade Draisaitl unless it’s for something huge.

That's so outrageously one sided that you'd think you are a leafs fan... rantanen for driasitl is basically a lateral trade, not to mention we have no need for klefbolm. Makar and our 1st are worth way more than klefbolm... this isnt a trade to help EDM become a powerhouse, it's a trade that would help both teams become better, secondary scoring for Col and RHD scoring and cap relief if you go for the barrie trade listed above

I agree with holding out for a big return for Draisaitl. That being said, I think Rantanen is pretty much untouchable and I doubt COL moves Makar.

I think moving Draisaitl for Barrie + would fill needs for EDM. Other option that I would see is moving Draisaitl in a 3-team trade to make room for EK.

I agree it favours the Oilers but why would the Oilers move Draisaitl who is a top line centre unless a top line player is coming back?? Draisaitl doesn’t get traded unless it blows the doors off period! The original trade proposed here is just as one sided as mine in favour of the Avs. Oh and by the way the Avs are my second favourite team after the Oilers so I don’t want them getting fleeced any more then I do my Oilers.

As much as Rantanen is untouchable, I would think Draisaitl is as well unless a player of his caliber is included in the trade. I agree my proposal was one sided but the original proposal for Draisaitl was just as much in my opinion for the Avs.

Obviously because they have a need, having to many scoring centreman, nobody on the right side blue line, a 50-60 pt defense for 3 mill less than a 70 pt centre plus a pick is a fair value
