Demko is below DiPietro. Demko in my opinion is overrated. He has an amazing rep that I think is massively undeserved. He's thought of as the next Louongo or Schnieder by Canuck fans but he's not even the best goalie in the AHL. He was completely outplayed by Sparks who was the best goalie in the minors last year and yet Demko is a blue chipper and Sparks is a marginal prospect. Make sense of that for me.

You also have to look at age and experience .... Demko has played 2 seasons now in the AHL improving his save % and his GAA in year 2 .... Sparks is already 25 and has already played 6 seasons in the AHL (well sort of) as he hasn't been consistent enough to stick around... and his previous season was about that same as what Demko had last year. That's why Demko is still a good prospect and Sparks is only marginal. You also have to consider the team playing in front of each goalie .... the Marlies were much better than the Comets last year.
