Keeping Panarin+Karlsson (and under the cap)

Description
Leaves 1.6M for 2 bench players (enough for 2 league minimum-types or rookies).

Jumbo might resign for league min to allow this to happen. Its in his DNA and dougie has rewarded him well the last two seasons for his loyalty...

Obviously relies on the yong guys to overperform on the bottom two lines. However, Panarin is a superstar top 10 point producer in the league and the top 6 would be strong:

Panarin, Couture, Hertl, Meier, Kane, and pavelski is a pretty great top 6 with Jumbo there too. And the top 4 D are solid too.

It's a roster built for the PO's when often it becomes a 9F, 4D, 1G game.

    Forget Thornton and Pavelski...start building on Kane & Couture ( and in this case required Panarin ) and your Cap will be fine

    My Leitmotif for SJS since Karlsson trade still stands : with the current D, they can get Stanley with 82 games + playoffs won 1 : 0

    No thx for Braun btw

    Absolutely! Braun is one of the top shut down defensemen paired with Vlasic for years. The leafs have super stacked O but their defensive play is the weakness. Braun would be a tremendous add there and dubas and any GM worth a thing would know that. He’s worth at least a 1st, maybe more.

    Watch him and realize that he matches up every shift every game against the Matthews, mc David,Crosby’s of the league, kills penalties so well, blocks shots and does so much to win.
