Pominville is not playing ahead of Thompson, risto and scandella will play together, Rodrigues will play ahead of girgensons, this is just real bad

Don’t really care where Scandella plays, the 6 dmen are pretty solid. I don’t think Scandella Risto was revolutionary so they don’t have to stick together. Pominville - Berglund - Nylander has been a great line in camp so they definitely should have a shot together to start the season. Thompson was a 4th liner last year and is still very young - another half a year there learning the league won’t kill him. It’s not like he’s a top 6 player right now. Girgensons and Rodrigues are interchangeable and is not that big of a deal. As I said opening night this is who I’d have not for the whole season.

This wouldnt surprise me. I do think its worth mentioning that instead of calling them lines 2 and 3, you can call them "offensive zone starts" and "defensive zone starts". If that ends up being the case, pominville is probably the guy out there with berglund. Still think that d looks bottom 5, hoping guhle and pilut are knocking at the door by thanksgiving.

I think the d looks good. McCabes under the radar. Bogosian is a question mark for multiple reasons, but has the talent. Nelson has been impressive for me. Scandella is solid but not anything more than an average player. If Dahlin clicks right away, I don’t think there’s much to worry about. The plus minus was a little disconcerting this preseason. But Wedgewood was not impressive at all and Ullmark didn’t have good numbers (I don’t really remember his situation (his team in front of him and his shot map) tbh I’d have to go back and look again.) Point being though I think the back ups had more to do with the plus minus than the skaters actually did, and it’s preseason so it’s not a very accurate depiction of how they’ll play in the regular season
