Faulk trade

Created by: Cartler
Team: 2018-19 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 9, 2018
Published: Oct. 9, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Toronto has proven that they need defense. I believe they can get better from within but for now they need outside help.
Faulk can be theirs on the cheap, the Skinner trade proved that.
I'm trading away Hainsey. In my mind he's to bad for the team and by paying Habs a third rounder and a young player to take on Hainsey for the remainder of the year.

Regarding Nylander: I'm just signing him to what can be viewed as acceptable, this is NOT what I believe will happen!!

I'm signing Mason since both Pickard and McElhinney was picked up on waivers. I can see Mason being a decent option, althougt I think Pittsburgh should sign him now with Murray on IR.

Canes decline. They can get much more at the deadline (if no injuries) if they decide to let him go.

He'll be to low on the Canes depth-chart to fetch more on deadline then today. I would love to see more since I like Faulk! BUT the management didn't pry a single first from Buffalo in the Skinner-trade so this seemed more realistic then 2 firsts and Nylander.

They don't. They are rebuilding so picks are vital! I consider a low prospect in the trade as well, like Jesper Lindgren, but they can take a seventh as well.

False, depth chart barely means anything. Especially when hes our main PP guy.

Also that Skinner trade is looking better and better each day lmao

Hes played 21 minutes a night this year.
He played 22 minutes a night last year.
He's averaged 23:24 over his career.
He's 26 years old.
Are you sure you're thinking of the right player?

Good point! But it is a modified so Habs might not be on the list.. but why would they not be unless he's asked to waive for them..
