Aaaaaand now that you have paid Hoffman that money, how do you suppose we pay Nylander, Andersen, Sandin, Liljegren, Hyman etc.

I'm hoping many on those players aren't Leafs. Kassian, Gauthier, Hoffman, Marchment, Boroweicki, Holl. Young potential good players on ELC should be on the roster, especially if there a cap heavy top end. Dermot only 2m?

Look. We don’t know who the Leafs will draft, who will be available in a trade, how their young players will perform etc. etc. We are going two seasons out here so the important factor was to see if their most important players could be signed and kept on the roster without exceeding the cap. The secondary players on the roster are interchangeable with either draftees or other UFA’s or trade pieces.
