I like Athanasiou and I liked your trade either. He's fast and a very good two-way winger. He'd fit pretty well in our system and could "replace" Hags next season, cause both have similar qualities, but Athanasiou is better than him offensively. Good job.

I admit limited exposure to him, but I do feel that he is over rated from what I have seen.

Athanasiou is basically what you would get if Hagelin had been drafted by a rebuilder instead if a contender. He'd fit well with the Pens, but he's got an expensive cap hit and Detroit isn't going to want to cheaply part with one of their few young building blocks. This trade certainly isn't worth it for Pitt, and I imagine most asks Detroit will have for Athanasiou are going to be too rich for the Pens.
