Description

1. Sprong is not being utilized much, but I think Sully will eventually give him the chance. He has been playing well for the minutes he gets and his offensive potential can start to be seen if given more minutes -> Put him on the 1st line with Crosby and Guentzel.

2. Namestnikov has not fit in with the Rangers. Since that team is still going through a rebuild, they take a pick, prospect and current NHL player to move him. He can be a good two-way forward and has been a confident player around Stamkos/Kuch. It can be the same in Pittsburgh if you -> Put him on the 2nd line with Malkin and Kessel.

i could see it happening but i don't think it will. Hagelins speed is a wildcard for the penguins. plus he has chemistry with Phil and geno and is the one of pens best PK Forwards

He does play a very speedy game, agreed. I do think other players can fill his role on that Phil/Geno line and still make it effective both offensively and defensively. As for the PK, he is currently 3rd (only 2 more seconds than Cullen) on the Penguins' forward group for most penalty kill minutes. Sheahan is first, Rust second, and then Hagelin in third. I do think Pens can replace him on the PK. He is important can I do think he can be replaced.

If Penguins are looking for a long-term option that might be a little younger, a trade can make sense.
