Lineup looks good, until you open up long-term outlook

What a dog that Parise contract is, and probably Suter's by the end of it as well

Horvat is a GREAT player, but I just don't see him as a 1C on a contender (for what it's worth I'd love him on the Wild). I don't see why Vancouver trades him either, they aren't looking to contend right now which makes Spurgeon sort of a useless piece to trade them. We already have Koivu and Eriksson Ek (who has been touted as "Koivu's replacement") whom both play similarly to Horvat (defense first but can chip in offensively). We need players that can generate a ton of offense, and Horvat is not that guy.

I like Mantha's speed a lot, but AA is just kinda meh IMO. Again, I don't see why Detroit makes this trade. They are another rebuilding team so trading them roster players in their prime doesn't make a ton of sense. I'm pretty sure they're strapped down with cap as well so I'm not sure they can take this much cap going their way.

We also kill our draft stock this year, which as we're now seeing is a terrible idea (our prospect pool is insulting if you discount the fact Kaprizov was complete luck).

I see what you're doing (adding speed and youth) which would be healthy for this team, but I don't think Detroit nor Vancouver makes those trades. They will be looking for picks/prospects if they move anybody and those are pieces the Wild should not be willing to give up.

I agree. No reason for Vancouver to make this deal.

We wouldn't? That trade is a joke we don't need an aging Eric Staal.

Yeah if we were to deal Mantha+AA to the Wild, Then Dumba needs to be heading our way.
