One way trade with Carolina...Remove the 2nd pick and Faulk and it's a fair deal

The McDonagh trade was very bad indeed, they should have kept him instead of adding him as a through in for Gomez.

Namestnikov, Spooner, and a 3rd doesn't get Teravainen alone... never mind also getting Faulk, Fleury and a 2nd.

Why has Namestnikov traded so much on this site? He's an unproductive player making 4m a year. Wondering how that that 7 year McDonaugh extension is going to look for Tampa in a few years.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Despite his slow start to this season, the 25-year-old Namestnikov is a versatile forward who can skate at center or wing, plays a two-way game and has decent offensive skills. He’s signed through 2019-20 with a $4-million annual cap hit and could be attractive to playoff contenders seeking second- or third-line depth. The rebuilding Rangers could consider moving him if they can get a suitable draft pick or prospect in return.

Really not that hard to comprehend.....

Friedman also noted there’s some interest around the league in New York Rangers forward Vladislav Namestnikov. He expects the Rangers are willing to listen to offers.

To further help explain...

Yes, I figure you think would think he a special player.. 4m pay for a guy who scored 2 goals and 3 assists in last 27 games. A 15 point yearly pace. Yea a team might be interested in him at 50% retention, but there are a lot TDL deadlines deals to be make for 4th line wingers, and that's what he is now. Really it is silliness to think he a second line, or even third line depth. Yep, the Rangers sure who be interested in offloading him, the. question is why does anyone want him.

Maybe they, and many others, know more about the player, team or situation.
Absurd how you pretend to preside above ALL....
Too funny...

I'm so glad, you listen to a media guy who is trying to hits on site instead of logic. If you were a hockey fan you would know Names has little trade value, especially in a cap league.

Vladdy played on first line with Stammer and Kuch and they were very successful together. Dunno what happened in NY with him. Maybe they don't trust him that much or something...

McDonagh and Miller are playing really well in Tampa. Millsy has 3+6 in 9 games and he can literally play every position. And Mac? He is a beast... Very reliable, skilled and calm top-tier defenseman.

Glad you can read. For your own sake, it would be good policy to think for yourself though. You seem lacking in independent thought. Don't like what I write, use the ignore bottom. I use that feature when I see non hockey fans using this site. You've joined that club.

Yes, I'm a lucky kid. I'm sure that three year you "play with" will have issues. Maybe the SVU should be notified.

BUILD AROUNF BUCH?!?!? OMG ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK? The guy is inconsistent, loses puck battles, and doesn’t backcheck. But yeah, he was our best prospect at a time (what a joke) so y’all have to get in on the hype train. Another overrated player. You ain’t winning building around Buch.. just facts
