Im always the one backing Gardiner up and he is good, but we gotta move on, like JVR.. I know that he is good, but there are younger options within our organisation..

We need a second puck moving defenceman and Dermott is just not there yet. Any suggestion that doesn't involve trading away assets?

Liljegren.

Liljegren is 3 years away from proving himself in the NHL. Gardiner is in his prime right now. Id take that over youth if we want to win a cup in the next 5 years

We have a TON of time winning the cup, no time frame at this point in time.

I think that's the problem with Gardiner. He is his prime and it isn't 6m good. As Sammy suggested there other cost efficient options available. Don't know why Liljegren is three years away. He's played in the SHL and a year on the AHL. If he isn't in the NHL soon, he may never be. I may not be a realistic but Sandin played his first AHL yesterday. Will he be NHL ready next year?
