Stone isn’t even a regular on this team I can’t see how they are losing this trade. Yes they are paying him to play for a rival but it’s still cheaper than a buyout which they will do this summer if he can’t be moved. Lazar and Gravel are both fringe NHLers at best

Financially it might be a win... But Lazar and Stone might still be able to play some minutes in the NHL. Kassian and Gravel will most likely just end up playing in Europe until their current contracts expire.

Unfortunately Calgary is a bit of a dinosaur in that they still think they need tough guys on the roster, I mean Dalton Prout is on the NHL roster lol. If they happen to make the playoffs I think Kassian is a guy they would rather have in the lineup over a Czarnik or Dube

You know, Dalton Prout has only played 1 game. No one else on the team is really considered an enforcer. I fail to see your point.

See Peluso and Hathaway. While Hathaway is a decent player at times he is only in to stir the pot but there are players in Stockton that are far better than him
