This is indeed Toronto's asking price, from what Bob McKenzie has said Carolina is saying no but we'll give you Pesce. And that's as far as its gone. TO isn't going to give Nylander away for less than his value, they'll just make him sit and keep negotiating until a proper deal is signed.

I agree. Slavin isn't going anywhere, and Dubas wants to sign Nylander. If it comes down to the final week or so and Nylander doen't budge, Dubas will probably ask what assets Carolina would be willing to add with Pesce to make the deal happen. Toronto doen't need to ditch Nylander just to obtain a good RHD unless the deal is up to Nylander's value and Toronto's needs.
