Overpayment for Ellis, but I like the idea of Ellis.

Don't think that offer gets MN to think at all about moving Coyle. Offering Hayes (who makes just a little less than Coyle) and a prospect (DeBrusk) that maybe could turn into Coyle is just not tempting for MN.

Expansion draft gets dicey here. I assume you keep 4 d-men, so you are leaving Marchand exposed?

Trades and roster aren't too bad. Expansion draft would hurt. KMiller, Demers and Stempniak will get more I believe, but you have cap room for that. Don't think MIN would like to move Coyle for that. Seems like a lot for Ellis.

With that Ellis package, add a 1st and you could probably land Dumba/Trouba. Gave up a lot for him. And honestly, if there was one guy I'd hold onto it's Lauzon.
