Can't see Dallas doing that. Hanzal's contract comes up sooner, and they give up the better players. Methot>Schlemko Nichuskin>Peca and Honka> Vejdemo. At the end of the day neither team really gains anything of significance, so it doesn't really matter, but it's still a bad deal for Dallas.

From an Ottawa perspective, I really don't think bringing Methot back makes much sense. He was a good fit for Karlsson, but his underlying numbers were always pretty bad, and he's only gotten worse since he left. He'd be a better 3LD than Harpur or Boro, but he'd almost certainly be used in the top 4, which I don't think helps us.

I'll always have a spot in my heart for Marc Methot, but we no longer have use for his services.

you cannot make a cap dump deal and ask the team dumping to Retain and Reward you , it makes no sense .

CHI Didnt retain when they paid ARZ to take Hossa as what would be the point of making a deal at all ?
