Minor Lineup Adjustments

Created by: DirtyRebound
Team: 2018-19 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 27, 2018
Published: Dec. 5, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Bruins are lacking speed on their wings and should call up Senyshyn. I don't believe he has played well enough to deserve the call up but he would fit a stylistic need the Bruins have at the moment.

Gemel Smith would be a waiver claim that would bring a new face into the locker room for the bottom 6. I've always liked his game and has shown in the past he can finish in the role of a 4th liner. With 2G, 1A in 14 games he would be an upgrade over Acciari for the moment and the Bruins can always send him down if he does not fit.

I think its worth a shot, there's no harm in trying it for one game. Could be a better option on the wing in top 6 with than having Heinen, Donato, Acciari, Nordstrom, Wagner, Backes who aren't fast enough to get up the ice and aren't strong enough to win board battles.

If he shows he's horrible then it was just one game and you send him down. Now is the time to give it a shot though.

If you want good/accurate info on Senyshyn, check out this guy on Twitter (BruinsNetwork). He's an amateur scout that knows his stuff and has no biased towards players, he just calls it like it is. He's always posting video's and breakdown players from a development standpoint.

I'll definitely give him a follow. All I usually see are the highlights of the Providence games.

You can't say he absolutely stank in pre season. Have to be fair and say he had a few solid showings, that 2 goal game being one of them.

Oh, you mean that game where he took a gross shot into samsonovs chest on a breakway, and there was somehow a rebound, and then made a horrible pass that a caps d man slapped into his own net....and was invisible the rest of the time? Ya he stunk it up

You're right in the sense he had a bit of luck, what's sad is the fact that he could get on a breakaway is already better than half the Bruins lineup at the moment.

One man’s trash in another man’s treasure i guess. I’ll go with trash. Smith is an incredibly mediocre AHLer. We have plenty of them. Pass.

Hey could very well be trash. The eye test was always good when I watched him play but maybe I just caught him on his good games.

While he does have quite a few Q&A's he's usually pretty good about answering questions anytime. He actually has some good write ups and videos on Senyshyn now

Yeah I've been reading through a few of his tweets about the state of the team. Very similar perception about where the team stands as most of us have probably had the past few games. Strongly agree that they can't keep rolling Acciari and Wagner when the team is in dire need of scoring.

In regards to his recent analysis on Senyshyn, I can see a greater confidence in his game and looks like he's learning how to use his size and strength. The results may not be there just yet but if he's learning the right way to use his size and speed I think he could be a long range 3rd liner who can step up into the second line. Only time will tell. Would still like to see him get a one game stint.

Lol, they agreed with you. applaud

Still don’t agree. He does not add anything they don’t have already. Average production in jrs, mediocre in AHL, even less in NHL.

If he hit everything that moved and dtropped the gloves i could see it. Not his game. Just taking up a roster spot.

At leadt he was free. Unless they lose someone on waivers in the process.
