Kasperi is on pace for 55+ points.
I hardly doubt he will take 2.25m for 4 years. He could take that for 2 years as a small bridge type deal potentially.

Marner will be looking for Draisaitl money.

Kapanen is likely in the mid to upper 3 mil range.

and yet Hyman took 4 and Brown took 3. Do you even think before you type or are you just totally ignorant to the facts and history of other signings?

Marner scored 19 and 21 goals his rookie and sophomore seasons. he is on pace for 16 as of today and that number is dropping. He will probably end up with 15 or less at the end of the season. Playmakers who score 15-20 goals a season do not get paid goal scorer money. EXAMPLE Ovie signs 2008 and Backstrom signed 2 years later (2010) for 2 mill less than Ovie.

no need to be angry.

He said Marner wants Draisaitl money, which is what I have Marner at. Some people either dont read, or comprehend well, or just dont know the numbers.

These discussions are much more useful when you compare cap hit percentages, not the straight AAV. Drai signed for 11.33% of the cap. Next year, Marner signing for "Drai money" would mean $9.4m.

you sound like a child. SO WRONG. RAWR. listen, the guys going to put up 100 points, he isn't going to sign for peanuts. 10 million is fair, it's what eichel got with a much smaller sample size of success.

cap hit % is what agents use to get automatic raises. The cap is still the cap. If your team is deep then your cap hit is still 8.5mill

On Oct 5th i put up a team with Nylander making 6.8 mill for 6 years. I am realistic. I understatand how the math works and the rules of the CBA.

If you dont understand, then its on you to educate yourself. No ONE will offer sheet a guy on pace for 16 goals 10mill or offer him 10 mill so turn of Sportsent and TSN. Its just talk on their part to generate interest and listeners.

I'm from Boston, I don't have TSN or sportsnet. This is just called having a brain. If a guy gets 100+ points, he is going to get 10+ mill.
