I don't think it's bad, not losing anyone from the roster or a prospect of extreme value is survivable. I know Roy is good but with Kuokkanen Saarela Necas Porturalski etc tearing it up, it's not a need for Nic Roy... although I love his choice of goal song in the personalized Checkers thing

I don't hate it as a Wild fan. Can Roy play in the NHL this year or does he need more seasoning in the AHL? Seems like our FO wants a right shot scorer that can make an impact this year (although personally I'd prefer a prospect).

I have no idea why Minnesota has to agree to it. If you give the young player, then he has to have a potential not less than at Coyle was. As far as I remember Coyle was considered as very perspective when exchanged to Minnesota.
