You're dreaming with Oshie for Sutter and Bennett.

What is the obsession with Oshie, he isn't anything special. Kapanen would be held in the AHL before given fourth line minutes. His game could develop faster with 20 minutes per night down there than up at the NHL level. Kunitz is still a better top six option than Comeau. Chicago would not retain anything in a Bickell deal, they can't afford to.

Oshie's not a star, but he's a 60 point winger presumed to be available. Dude's got crazy hands. He doesn't have great speed, but Malkin likes to play that methodical east-west game anyway. I think they'd be a great fit as long as someone on that line shoots the puck. Plus, he plays a solid 2-way game.

I just don't think that the Blues would be interested in Sutter at all. They have a ton of centers already.

There are certainly better deals that St. Louis can get (Okposo) and, if I were them, I wouldn't even be looking to trade Oshie in the first place. But should those deals dry up with other players moving and Oshie staying put the Blues so desperately want to "shake things up" and Oshie is their only core player with no type of trade protection, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen. For whatever reason there's been a lot of GMs expressing interest in Sutter and, for reasons I'd say are short-sighted, St. Louis wants to move key pieces of their core and Oshie is the easiest to move.

I think Kapanen has a 50/50 shot of making the team this year simply because, as GMJR has stated, he wants "4 Lines that can score". And just because I've placed him on the 4th line on this roster, what I've tried to do is have 8 wingers, any of whom could jump into the Top 6 at any given time. So maybe (likely) Kunitz returns to form and is back with Crosby and Perron drops down to play with Malkin. Or maybe Bickell needs fewer minutes so Comeau plays there. Or the sure-to-be-signed Sergei Plotnikov. Then on the right side, I'd like to think Hornqvist & Crosby are a safe bet but Dupuis, who's has hard a worker as anyone, could jump into the Top 6 if he can stay healthy. In any case, if the Penguins could put this roster together and if they can stay healthy (which is a big "if") they'd have a steady stream of, not superstar wingers, but guys who can fill in admirably, and those who aren't there would make for a stacked Bottom 6.
