Another rebuild idea

Created by: Logan03
Team: 2018-19 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 16, 2018
Published: Dec. 16, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
- Trade Kunitz to cup contending team.

- Perlini is a bust and sikura I think won’t be anything as every time he comes up from the AHL to NHL he don’t perform. So trade them and a draft pick for former Blackhawk 1st rounder hayes.

- Now we got Hayes so no need for anisimov and we don’t got a 3rd rounder so trade him to playoff team for that.

- Trade manning and that bad contract for 2020 7th rounder

-Trade seabrook to Vancouver so VAN got some player with lots of experience. In return two decent young players, one coming back. Also take Sam ganger for VAN to have some cap space. But he stayes has in AHL.

- and final trade is ward and pick to Carolina for darling retaining his salary to a appropriate backup goalie salary. Chicago taking darling trying to get him to find his path back to a good goalie and Chicago would have a really good backup for a few years if he does.

If you are rebuilding, why keep Toews, Kane and Keith? Let them go for 1st and/or 2nd round picks.

I'm ok with the Anisimov and Manning though.

in a full rebuild generally you move out any over 25 not at once but players over 25 usually aren't in your final plans. You do this by drafting and waiting on prospects to develop. An example is the Wings they will miss the playoffs again this year and probably another season or 2 to correctly complete the rebuild. They are working the older players out. Kronwall will retire this year
Nyquist, Howard, Jensen and Vanek are on the trading block.

What Chicago is trying to do is rebuild on they fly which relies more on trading and signing free agents. Because most players take about 2 years till they are ready to make the jump permanently. By signing free agents and trading you get players ready to step in right away.

I still think you might have to trade one of those guys so you have enough space to sign the free agents you want. Panarian is going to get $10mill or higher.

I don't think Manning has a place in Detroit right now. We have a bunch of young D that are ready and need more ice time so bring in veteran D-man doesn't make sense for them right now.

I don’t really see this team as being any better than what we have now. Fortin only has speed and doesn’t yet know how to use it so I think he needs time in the AHL to develop. Have some more cap space to try and sign some guys but with that there’s always the chance no one signs here. Getting the #1 or #2 overall in the draft would help too.

Chicago don’t want a full rebiuld. They want to keep Kane and toews and Keith. And Corey crawford if they can. And Chicago is focusing on their prospects and younger players. Jokiharju and boqvist will be elite on 1st line and Mitchell and Beaudin on 2nd tip 4 pair. Chad keys and Keith 3rd and then kieth can be traded and Krys in 3 years. DeBrincat going to have about 60 to 75 points this season so first line. And hagel is a top 6 forward. And Dylan strome going to be great top 6 maybe elite with DeBrincat. And we got others than I’m to lazy to search up and type. And ya panarin. We wish we had a young future starter but we don’t so that’s why we have to keep crow.

If youre rebuilding why would you trade 2 good prospects and a high pick for hayes? And that VAN trade is laughable no team is going to give up any assets for that seabrook contract. Look at the bickell trade, comparatively better contract and we had to give up teuvo just to dump him

That trade with Arizona was great for Chicago! I forgot you drafted Boquist last was the deepest draft for defensemen. Detroit took a wing and a center in the 1st round. I'm beginning to think they should've taken Quinn Hughes in stead of Zadina.

Seabs isn't going anywhere unless Q lands at a team and convinces him to waive and then convinces a team to take on that contract....BOTH are highly unlikely. Seabs will be a compliance buyout in 2020. Every time you make a Seabs move on your teams you create, they are highly unfavorable to the acquiring team.
