Description

Trying to make a Tarasenko trade work without giving up Valimaki...its tough, because of the salary cap. Essentially, Stone is a cap dump, Bennett is included because a) young player with pedigree and b) salary, so its Bennett, a first and second, and two prospects that are close. I would be open to two firsts, the second, and no prospects, (plus Frolik and Stone) if that is preferred, but it pushes the rebuild farther down the road.

Too steep for CGY to pay that price.

Would think that something like this would be preferred by CGY and more realistic:

Jankowski
Frolik
Kylington
2nd or 3rd rounder in 2020

Gets STL two young players, one being a 3C today with 2C upside, the other being a #6 Dman today with Top 4 upside. Frolik serves as a great middle 6 forward.

If CGY were to include a 1st, I don't see more than 2 current roster players being included.

If I’m the blues and Calgary says Tarasenko, I say Tkachuk. I realize the latter is having a better year but Tarasenko has a solid track record and is 2nd in goals since 2014 just behind Ovi

Yeah... people need to realize that Tkachuk is as untouchable as gaudreau at this point...
