Description
Goligoski is a definitive 1B top pairing Defenseman and has been for a few years while Yandle is not good enough defensively to be top pairing and the Rangers need a shut down top pair, McD is the 1A we need a 1B and Goligoski is that guy, good skater that can move the puck and play the PP. The smart and best choice for the NYR is Goligoski not Yandle, you need an all round good d-man Yandle is only 1 dimensional.

Stafford, Copp for Kreider makes some sense and doesnt, its thinking outside the box but heres why its a good move. In 1 year Girardis cap hit goes up and the Salary cap begins to decrease. Also Stafford is up in 1 years and to this point has been productive if not more than Krider and is fast and big just the same. With him only having 1 year left we can decide to either re-sign him or go after a top UFA next year or let him go and just promote Gropp to play with Buch or whoever. You have to think a few years down the road and this team honestly makes great sense and I truly believe that Krieder gets you Stafford and Copp as Copp will need to be moved as WPG has 3 better centers in Schielfe, Little, Perrault and Burmistrov and Marko Dano in the AHL. He needs to be moved and this way they get a player similar to that of Ladd whom they traded (Krieder)

Dano likely wont play centre and isnt in the ahl and Burmi is also not locked in at centre. Perrualt has played 95% of his time on the wing with the jets so hes not a centre either. It Scheif little and then lowry copp burmi battling for the bottom six centre roles. i think it would take more than Krieder to make that deal but probably not much more.

Ok if thats the case then I will Give you Tambellini who is a pure center projected as a 4th line center in the NHL as part of the deal if you throw in a 4th round pick (Tambellini is in AHL right now)

Sad when the Rangers gotta move young Kreider because there are so many "big" and not necessarily value contracts on the Rangers. 1 LW, 1 C, 2 D, 1 G. All will be unnamed
