Contenders - CBJ NYI LA Trades

Created by: Grebby14
Team: 2019-20 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 26, 2018
Published: Dec. 26, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Start off by trading Simmer at the TDL to whoever will give us a first round pick. Then at the draft trade that first with Matt Strome to LA for Quick. Have Quick and Hart each play around 40 games next year to ease Hart into the league.

Next when it becomes apparent that Panarin won’t resign with the Blue Jackets Trade Voracek for his rights and Oliver Bjorkstrand. I think Giroux could tap into Bjorkstrands goal scoring ability he showed in juniors and he could be a very good player for us. May also be able to get something else from Columbus since UFA rights aren’t worth a lot. Sign Quenneville as coach that will also help sign Panarin. Also at the draft package Robert Hägg and our second to the Isles for Nick Leddy.

The Panarin Coots Konecny line could be our version of Boston’s pasta bergy Marchand line and we’d still have another scoring line in JVR G and Bjorkstrand

Enough cap leftover to resign the kids next offseason.

Very thoughtful strategy.

Gave you five stars BECAUSE of Quick's contract.

I'd give Talbot a 2 year deal. 3x2. Players have shown to improve a lot after leaving Edmonton lol. Look at Aberg/Broissoit this year.

I wouldn't count the CBJ out on Panarin. If the continues to take the shape it is now, he might just sign back with Columbus. Remember, he can only get the 8th year on his contract from the team that owns his rights as of the previous TDL, per CBA. That 8th year is huge for Panarin. If the big cities are where he wants to go such as Chicago, LA, and NYC, he will have to likely settle with rebuilds. Not sure that is good for a competitive guy like Panarin. Plus, the UFA market could dilute his value a bit. With players like Simmons, Duchene, and Stone available it could decrease the bidding wars for him. Point is he and his agent are going to be having a business meeting in late January, and we will know more about his intentions. But don't be surprised if he starts negotiations with the CBJ on a new contract.

Not to mention Hayes, Zuccarello, Silfverberg, and Skinner are scheduled to be UFAs as well.

What do you think of the value on the Leddy deal?

I'm a fan of the Isles trade. Though Trotz has made it clear he's happy with Leddy (therefore I don't know truly how available he would be). But nonetheless fair value

I like the value. It's a good move for both teams in their current situations.

I think the Islanders are the most likely landing spot for Bobrowsky and Panarin if in fact they move. But that's still only about a 20% chance that the Isles land them both.
