Additional Details:
Conditional 1st: If the 2019 1st turn into a lottery pick (top 15), the Bruins have a choice to send 2020 1st instead.
Conditional 3rd: If Saad scores over 55 points in 2020, a 2nd round pick will be sent instead of the 3rd.
I really don't know what Saad's value is or Fortin but just estimating, I guess its around Bjork, Cehlarik, Zboril, a conditional 1st, and a conditional 3rd. I mea Bjork and Zboril could both hit top 6 F and top 4 D, Cehlarik would be a very well built 3/4 liner and Nordstrom would just be for the roaster spot and help the Blackhawks this year, maybe? I don't know about the value but it seems decently even to me, especially as the Blackhawks are kinda the bottom feeder these 2 years and isn't going to benefit with 2 10M contracts, 2 6M contracts, and a 5M contract with lots of vets. I know Saad is still young and he isn't really that overpaid but he is not a Kane or Toews or Keith and is not the player to build your franchise around, and to get one or more of these superstars require high draft picks. I don't know what the Blackhawks plan to do, but it doesn't seem like they are going to splash for the playoffs and wouldn't be in it. All I know is that the Blackhawks are at a low point and that they would want some younger help, such as Bjork, Zboril, a 1st and a 3rd. They have young talent but the team is kinda allover the place for the hawks.I know Fortin is a really good prospect but still, you probably can get better in a 1st round. I know retaining is hard to do, especially for a team with high cap, but the situation being, if they want to start moving out vets, they need to retain. Saad isn't a vet, but he is quite overpaid for what he is doing now, yes he isn't having a super bad season but at the same time, 6M isn't worth what he is doing and I say a change of scenario is probably good for Saad.
