If this makes room for a bigger trade then meh there is some justification. But I don’t feel great giving Cagguila for essentially nothing. If the rumors are true with Spooner being shopped around and no takers then I can see a reason to just dump him. I don’t know about Kassian I feel like Hitch is trying to put him in a role where he succeeds, if he prevails he can be an asset and accept a morale boost.

Not terrible, but almost.
NO reason 2 believe in Pulijarvi.
NO different than Yakupov.
Losing Spooner&Manning are good, keep Kassian, shoulda drafted him instead of Anthony Stewart.

What kinda logic is there that Carolina don't have enough contracts to hit the cap floor? Just not true Teams NEVER take on bad contacts to hit the cap floor, but they might take on LTIRs, which don't cost any money.

Pulju's 20. It's way to early to say that. He'll for sure succeed if he's traded away. That's also why I signed him for 2 years instead of long-term, to prove himself one last time.

Assuming our D will be back healthy, Manning will have to move because it'll cause even more difficulties to our cap situation and Bouchard should be ready if someone is injured. We really can't get much of a return for an overpaid 3rd d-man. Giving up Caggiula was a bad move by PC in the first place. And I was a bit reluctant in giving away Kassian, but 1.95 mil is a bit too much IMO. But yea he's a solid-fourth liner and his contract isn't too long so could be helpful to keep him. And that's the last year on Spooner's contract so I thought Carolina might be willing to give him a shot to bolster their scoring and the contract would not cause too many problems for them.

He's just one day older than Jordan Kyrou who many here see as a premier prospect.
