Both of the big trades are pretty much us dumping all our bad contracts then adding picks to get other teams top players... like Rantanen could very well win the art ross this year. Plus we get Jost (and equivalent prospect to Jesse) and the offensive dman we’ve been looking for.. Oilers get the top 3 players in the deal, and jdit have to give up the next 2 years top picks. That’s a lot, but we’re getting great players back.

The philly trade is similar. Getting Couturier and Konecny is a lot

I do this in a heart beat, so doubt the other teams do

Keep in mind they are garbage deals for the other teams who laugh at the very idea of it.

Lucic, Talbot, Manning, Kassian, 1st, 2nd for Couturier, Konecny, and Hägg?

I don't think that package gets Edmonton Couturier or Konecny alone, much less the 3 player group.

The worst contract in the league, a UFA struggling goalie, a 3rd pair D, a 4th liner, future 1st and 2nd. Nope.
