Description

There is a rumour that the Oilers are going to make a big push to get Tarasenko but is it really possible? I say nope!

McDavid, Draisaitl and Bouchard are not going anywhere and I personally do not want to trade RNH as he is our best 200ft forward by a mile. So the only way to make it work is prospects and futures. I don’t think we have the prospects to get it done compared to other teams say like Carolina.

Who are we going to offer? Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, Jones, Bear? I would love to get Tarasenko but even if we could I just don’t think it is a reality. What a shambles this once proud franchise is in.

There’s not really anybody the Blues would be interested and they’d have to take back a big contract. I don’t see a fit.

2019 unprotected first rounder is the only leverage they really have. But then again they have no space and will have to send spooner or lucic both of which STL will say no to.

I actaully had a good idea recently. Would the Oilers do a trade that is Lucic and Bouchard for a top 6 player like schwartz, tarasenko, or schenn? Obviously each player has different value but as a blues fan i would 100% take on the lucic contract if bouchard is there

Of course they would, but I hope we wouldn’t. That would be a terrible deal. All of our top 6 come with term and a decent to good cap hit. They are far more valuable than a prospect and cap dump.
