STL won't budge unless a big piece is involved. Gotta give value to get value

Damn, I wonder if they'd do this if they decided to full rebuild

I would be patient on Tarasenko.
You don't really know what you are getting after his surgery. His numbers are down and the repair he had isn't an easy fix. If you ask me he rushed back too soon.
His shoulder dislocated. Not only do you have to repair the damage but you usually have to let it tighten up by restricting movement for a long period of time. Then you are hoping the scar tissue holds it up better. Lots of people dislocate and their shoulder is never the same.

So A, I would wait to move anything big for him to see if he actually heals and plays better. And B. if he doesn't you can gamble for less, or realize it's not the right move.

I agree.
I think Blues would start with Werenski.

Columbus in my opinion would be a great spot for Tarasenko. Especially if it convinces Panarin and Bobrovsky to stay.

This would put St. Louis way over the 50 contract limit. It's one reason why you can't really just trade quantity for quality.

Werenski for Senko would be bad for CBJ imo
