Montour? He's a solid top four defense who can play the offensive game when needed. As a Leafs fan I'd be suuuuuuuuuuper happy if Travis Dermott turned out like him and as for the return I think you'd receive a top six forward and a mid to low round pick. So something like Kapanen and a fifth round pick for Montour I think would work out.

Okposo makes almost double Cogliano and has 4 more years after this and just had a really bad concussion. Cogliano may not score but you know what you get in effort and he’ll be there every single night. How does moving equal money and taking in more term open up cap space?

Okposo didnt have a bad concussion, he had a concussion and was injected with medicine he was allergic too, the concussion wasn't the problem. I said throw in Eaves, Anahiem saves 4 million there and they have Nylander with 3 years on an elc, if he takes Silfverburgs spot that's another 3 mill that Anahiem saves, so they save about 7 mill in cap space

Did you read Okposo’s story? It was dark. And he didn’t say it was the medicine.... even if Eaves is thrown in that’s only $3M in savings. Silfverberg is already coming off the books. That’s already known. So taking on a bad contract for more years to save $3M isn’t worth it.

Then you'll know Montour's Value is actually that of a top end player or prospect. If Larson is the going rate for a Hall then Montour can fetch something on those same lines. So basically it's Middlesdat or no Montour.
