If Stone hits FA

Created by: SP17
Team: 2019-20 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 17, 2019

Description
Ferland trade via @Tmclean64 post.

What a change Stone would make to this team but if he hits FA I'm sure half of the league will want him so there will be lots of competition to sign him.

None of the players in Ferland deal are part of the Nucks future.

Meloche has Makar and Timmons ahead of him on the right side in COL. Brisebois has Hughes and Juolevi blocking him in VAN on the left side.

Honestly wouldn't mind seeing Dahlen crack the roster too. He could play with Pettersson and bump Motte of the starting roster. I wouldn't mind flipping Sutter too. Beagle is his equal and shouldn't be on the bench. That team should make the playoffs.

If we're honest he can make the most money on Vancouver. They're a young team with a future that isn't far away anymore. If he could play with Pettersson, I would be surprised if he passed up a 10 million deal.

No reason why he wouldn't possibly sign in Vancouver. He obviously doesn't mind playing in a Canadian market. Opportunity to play with Pettersson has changed a lot in Van and they have a ton of money to offer and you know Benning is willing to overpay FA's.

And the Leafs wont be winning a cup anytime soon..

I like all the moves for the most part, but Id like to sign Edler to a 2yr deal vs 3yr. If we sign him for three years it means we will most likely need to protect him in the expansion draft over a young player. Id do 3 years if he was willing to waive for the expansion draft. Stone would be a very good fit in Vancouver, would fill out our 1st PP and would compliment Horvats line extemely well. This team would be tough to play against every night with this roster, teams would hate coming to Van again like they did 6-8 Years ago.

With inevitable injuries and depending on how camp goes for guys there's no doubt Dahlen would get a shot.

I'd prefer Edler on 2yr deal as well I did 3yr simply because I believe Benning will give him that. Would definitely want to have the option to expose Edler in expansion. Hutton could also be a 2yr deal instead of 3yr.
