#4 overall tweaked

Created by: wabit
Team: 2016-17 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: May 18, 2016
Published: May 18, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
#4 overall from Oilers. Even if it's Scandella, or Brodin instead of Spurgeon, cap number still work (Dumba might?).

Wideman's bad contract for Vanek's bad contract + goalie. Flames need do need a RH wing. Wild get 1 year from serviceable D.

Leave's ~$20mil cap room in 17-18. Granny, Nino, Haula, Folin, Rielly are all RFA and Wild can afford to keep them (if wanted).

Why would Minnesota take Dubois when either Tkchuk or Puljujärvi would still be on the board.

Why would Puljujärvi be available at 4? Without a doubt the only two players better than him are Matthews and Laine.

Also not sure why you are valuing Tkachuk above Dubouis like it's an easy choice, the two are a toss up for the next best available forward after the top 3.

If Puljujärvi was still on the board at #4 it's no-brainer they take him. Figure Matthews/Laine/ Puljujärvi are 1/2/3.
I like Dubois over Tkchuk because he should eventually be a solid 2C, or for the Wild a 1C. Just my personal preference.

Lots of people would laugh at you. Dubois has been pegged at #4 by a fair amount of people. It may not be the most popular ranking, but it isn't unimaginable.
