As OldSchool said above, the 9OA trade is to trade up for Michkov...that's only scenario I would want it to happen.
AAV's of DeBrincat/Suter/Veleno I could see going up another ~$500,000 but not much more than that. I could see up to 2 million a year for Suter. Honestly I have no idea the value of Clifton, was just looking for a good depth RD.

You really think that players like Myers, Spurgeon, Fowler, etc. will be lost to expansion draft? GM's know the rules and how to manage their assets.

No, this could not very well happen...the ARI and COL trades make no sense for the receiving team and the values favor CBJ by a long shot.

EDM Trade - No way EDM says yes to this. Staal is two things that they don't want; a large cap hit and a LHD. If you want to make this trade work you could possibly send Klein otherwise negotiations won't go far.
STL Trade - I like this trade for both teams and the value seems close to me, could be tweaked either way.
COL Trade - Girardi could be traded if NYR is willing to retain that much but I still think that a 3rd rounder is high as NYR is trying to sell Girardi, COL isn't trying to buy him.
CBJ Trade - I like this trade as well and think it could work well for both teams. The main issue I see here is that CBJ is already in cap trouble and this has them taking on more salary.

Another try
The main reason why CBJ wants to trade Hartnell is to clear cap space so trading him for Girardi makes no sense, not to mention that Hartnell is already much more valuable than Girardi.
As a DRW fan I'm not sure I'd trade Nyquist for Nash let alone throw in Smith and a 1st rounder.
If you want to create more realistic rosters you need to realistically look at your own player's value and consider what other teams are looking for.

Brouwer might demand a bit more, but that is fair market price for him IMO.
EDM will likely want more in return for Yakupov. Crisp has essentially no value and a 3rd rounder isn't close.
Emelin for Hemsky trade is interesting and I could see it working if Dallas is looking for a physical defense man.
Habs might be able to get more than a 4th for Desharnis but that is decent value for him if they are intent on moving him.

This is some bad contract management...letting Stamkos walk to avoid cap problems but the signing Backes and Okposo for a combined 10.2 million for 5 years?
Kucherov will demand at least 6 million a year, not 1.25, and then next year you have to sign Hedman, Drouin, Palat, Vasi, and Johnson.

It has been said that NMC's expiring at the end of the 16-17 season will not need to be protected, so I assume that all contract based rules will be treated as if the 16-17 contracts have been fulfilled. Just my interpretation of it though.

What are you assuming falls under "2 years of professional North American hockey"? By the end of next season Teuvo will have 3 seasons completed and Panarin will have 2.
I've read this rule described as "First-and second-year players on entry-level contracts would be exempt from the expansion draft". Both Teuvo and Panarin will be off of their ELC's by the time expansion comes around so they would need to be protected.
This is the best way to show expansion protected/exposed players I have seen on here.

Two Big Moves
The DET trade doesn't work for DET for a few reasons:
1. DET is most interested in moving Howard for the cap relief, taking back Moulson results in only about 300,000 in cap relief and there is no room for Moulson in our line-up.
2. Psysyk is a RHD but does not have the offensive upside or size to fill any needs for Detroit. The blueline is already pretty full so he would likely just block any call-ups.
3. Detroit is not as prospect heavy as it once was, Mantha is considered their top offensive prospect at the moment and will be the first call-up if he doesn't make the team out of camp.

Tatar and Folwer trade. Helm and Weise additions.
I can't quite judge the DET-WSH trade appropriately because I don't know much about Orlov's value but I can tell you more details about Tatar.
First off I wouldn't read too much into the 4th line deployment as he averaged 15 minutes a game, around 10 minutes more than both of his line mates. I'm not really sure why the line-up was made like that or how deployment worked though. He also led the team in scoring (3A in 5GP) so he was able to produce.
Second he was the top possession driver on our team this season other than Datsyuk, was 2nd in G, 5th in A, and 3rd in P. That being said, Detroit was a poor team offensively this season so those stats aren't as impressive on other teams but it goes to show his value to Detroit.
Depending on Orlov's value I could see a trade like this working. One of Tatar or Nyquist are rumored/hoped to be on the move this off season for a defenseman although I believe that the preference would be Nyquist and for a RHD rather than a LHD.
All together a pretty good line-up, as LeafsFan said the trades address each team's needs and surplusses. Plus as a Detroit fan, I would love to see Helm go to WSH and think he would be the perfect 3C there.
Now a question for you, OP, is Johansson believed to be on the block this offseason? Why, if so?

I agree it works for the Wings, but it also works for a good 15 other teams. If you knew you could make $10.5M on any one of those teams, would you really pick Detroit? I see Detroit and Toronto in the same boat, your not getting a cup from them in the next 5 years. So why not go home to Toronto for the same money and play with this years #1 pick? I just don't see Detroit having enough pull to get Stamkos outside of overbidding for him. But it would be nice to get him.</i></div></div>
It's all very dependent on what Stamkos decides he wants. Detroit can guarantee: the same contract as anyone else, the 1C spot, a new arena, a core that is his age or younger, less pressure than a Canadian market, closeness to home, and a clean management reputation. Detroit can't guarantee: hometown spotlight, best chance at a cup, captaincy.
All in all each possible location has it's pros and cons but I definitely think there are reasons to be optimistic that he comes to Detroit. But then again so does Montreal, Tampa, Buffalo, Toronto, and probably a few others. I have to add that I find it funny how each team it seems he would fit best on are in the Atlantic.

Not sure about the Johnson trade...they contract values are most likely the same and we are upgrading from a 5th to a 2nd but I would still rather have DDK due to his age and system familiarity, I think their ceilings are similar.
I like the Johansson trade a lot, although I think to make it even you have to take out WSH's 2nd. Jensen has very little value and Oullet had quite the sub par season

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsGuyFYI</b></div><div><i>I thought Ryan Murphy of CAR was a RHD. Why try to move him to RW?</i></div></div>
He is but from what I saw this season CAR often utilized him as I am now, a 4th line RW with PP time as RHD. It's different but if he does well in that role (I don't watch much of CAR to know) then I see him eventually being a Krug type player for the Wings in that he plays 3rd pairing RHD with PP time. As of now though the defense is just too clogged.
Edit: The lineup here (<a href="http://www2.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/lines/18/carolina-hurricanes" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://www2.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/lines/18/carolina-hurricanes</a>) shows him at 4th line RW. I'm not entirely too sure how long he was there or how well he did but at least now I have something to back this up haha.

A lot of pieces being moved here so it's hard to gauge value, I think EDM needs to subtract just a bit to make the trade even.
Overall I like the moves a lot, haven't seen anyone think this originally in a while and still address each team's needs.
Only trade I don't really like is the ARI one...ARI has no need for DD or Emelin so you'd be lucky to get a 3rd rounder and lesser prospect.

Don't think that TOR bites on this trade. First reason being that Shaw is most likely worth a little bit less and second that the pick is coming from TOR, a team that values its picks higher than many teams, even if it is a late first. CHI will have no problems getting fair value for Shaw but I don't think that this is the right trade for it.

What is the point of the BUF trade? Ullmark isn't of much use to us as we have Mrazek as our goalie of the future and Coreau is projected to be a capable back-up, Franson is a third pairing dman, and a 3rd round pick...for a 1st rounder, Tatar, and Howard? If this is just to get a team to take Howard I would rather keep him, a 1st, and Tatar instead of the package we get back.
Also why sign Demers and play him on his off side? Why sign Helm at all? 2.75 is way too much for a 4th liner and we have kids that can work into roster spots. Too many forward signings overall, really clogs up any chance of a youth movement.

No way EDM takes this trade, they are looking primarily for an upgrade on RHD and to still have a pick this draft. It would take our 2016 1st plus a younger top 4 RHD (which we don't have).

A lot of stuff going on here that makes no sense...
1. Tatar for a 4th? He is worth a lot more than that
2. Trade for JJ to play on the 3rd pairing? His salary + Gustavsson + Howard retention sticks us with the same amount of salary
3. Two RHD on 1st pairing and two LHD on 2nd pairing? Why even sign Demers if you're going to make him play on his off side
4. No reason to sign Pulk for that much, and Mrazek and DDK are a little underpaid
Overall I don't think these moves even make the team any better other than signing Stamkos and trading Datsyuk. Other than that you signed a lot of longer term contracts to take away the teams flexibility and didn't really fix any of the log jams. Questionable line-up decisions as well...

AZ wins FA
I don't think AZ is in a position in which they actually want to "win" free agency. They still have a lot of good young players coming up and would be better off signing players to fill gaps for prospects for 2-3 years while prospects develop and then the team will be ready to compete and bring in some high level free agents to fill the gaps. No reason to rush the process.

The VAN trade is an interesting thought, Drouin could be the man there and Tampa wouldn't necessarily be any worse off without him.
For the CGY trade I don't think that Bishop (or any goalie for that matter) is worth the 6th OA, even with the 27th OA. It's not necessarily an issue of the value not being there but rather CGY not being that desperate for a goalie. Too much of a sellers market at the moment.

He is an RFA so he will likely get less than 8 million. He will get his big pay day when he hits UFA.
See: Toews, Kane, Stamkos, Kopitar.
A good comparable is Tarasenko at 7.5 and Gaudreu is likely worth a little less (6.5 - 7)
