Not just for Brown -- another forward (Andreas Johnsson) with good potential included. Not a bad idea, particularly as the two of them have put in a lot of time playing on either side of Nazim Kadri, and playing wing for Connor McDavid would certainly be a step up in the world no matter how good Kadri is.

I'd say that's fair value wise, but the oilers NEEEED NEED klefbom. Look at how bad they are doing defensively without him. Maybe Larsson for kappy + would make sense

Yeah, that was my thinking, too -- and I had exactly that trade kicking around in my head, too, but I think it would be Edmonton that would have to add. My idea was Kapanen for Larsson and the two teams switch first-rounders. Maybe Edmonton would have to add even there, too.

No argument there, I put them as a starting point as I would think the leafs would not want to start with a 1st, but it is very possible the only way to get done. There was a rumour about a proposal something like johnson, brown, 1st for nurse or something along those lines. And true its not chiarelli, but his trade would way more benefit the leafs.
