Description

Carl Grundstrom: A 57th overall pick in 2016 who's got 29P in 42 GP this year in the AHL. He won't be the go to offensive guy, but definitely has an offensive upside. He's a solid 2-way player, plays with a chip on his shoulder, and is a pest. I'd compare him to a Jason Zuker. He'll be a third liner on a championship team.

Sean Durzi: A 52nd overall pick in the 2018 draft (turns 21 this year although). He's scored at a solid pace in the OHL for a defenceman. He plays big for his size, will probably be NHL ready in 2-3 years. Solid top 6 dman on a championship team.

Think of Grundstrom as a future Hyman and I think you get the idea.

What is a "top 6 dman?" Doesn't that describe just about every defenseman in the NHL?

"1st round pick: Draft smart!" Now we just have to hope for Muzzin to suck and for the Leafs to bomb in the playoffs so the pick is 15-20 overall and not 28-31.

top 6 means like bottom pairing top 4 means second pairing or top pairing in certain scenarios top pairing d men means top pair d man and elite means they are probably the best d man on the team. exceptions are san jose who has 2 elite defensmen and a top pairing defensman so someone has to not be on that top pair
