I don't think the value is off but I can't see Boston doing it for a rental especially one they probably can't resign.

Panarin will cost more than Duchesne. And as B’s are not able to re-sign either player it is pointless to give up 3 valuable pieces of the future for them.

I would hardly say that giving yourself an opportunity to win a Stanley Cup before your core’s window closes is “pointless”. I also don’t see where Panarin is more valuable than Duchene. Their points per game this season and are nearly identical, Duchene is less than a year older than Panarin, and they are both on expiring contracts with the same cap hit. If anything, Duchene is more valuable because he is a center and Panarin is a winger.
