Description

I stole a lot of these from Todd Cordell's latest blog with the exception of the trade with Tampa. My thought is that Boyle gets a shot at a Cup and Tampa gets to shed some salary but add a veteran for a cup push whose salary will also come off the books at the end of the season.

I don't mind the Calgary trade, I think if we were to trade for a goalie Smith would have to be a part of the return, just because sending him anywhere else in a separate deal may be impossible...

For the Caps trade, take out the Devs' 6th, and retain more salary on MoJo, and that's a done deal.

Retaining is not an issue. I wonder if Ray has talked with MoJo about what his plans are for next year. Unless we get a haul in FA another summer of Mojo being helathy gets him to whewr ehe was pre-Marchand hit.

I would offer Kinkaid for Talbot with retention and try to get more out a return

No, I'm on the fence on what I'd like here for him
Would like a decent return and would hope he gets a chance at a cup (he missed out last year, and he's a decent enough guy). But on the other hand I'd like him to stay.
I don't think he'd do that to wash. if they have him back. Hence the reason I think (hope) shero has had talks with him.

I think he could fetch a third rounder. He'd be a great fit on Calgary!

I think he was traded for 2nd and a prospect last time he was moved. I'm hoping for a 2nd, he's having the best scoring year of his career on a team that is not scoring.
Him and MoJo to Wash. for a 2nd/3rd/Bura is ideal as a Devs fan.
