Plekanec and Emelin aren't the difference between #9 and #4, and Edmonton doesn't need either of them at their prices, and they just don't need them in the first place.

This looks like so many other "trades". I trade my high priced expendables....Emelin, Plenkanec, DD, and the I can sign UFAs. Take that 10m you send to the Oilers. Maybe they could just sign Hamhuis and Ladd and be a better team.

Actually, Edmonton DOES need experienced but not ancient players like Plekanec and Emelin. BADLY. They have tried teenage offence-first for years, and it does not work.

With that over priced çrap package to edmonton I don't think the Habs are getting any picks back infact probably including another first rounder

Actually I suggested Ladd and Hamhuis, two guys that have actually gone to the Stanley Cup finals.


Edmonton is not going to be able to snag top free agents, and needs to trade for older experienced guys who can help defensively.

However, just to humour you, I have reverted the Pleks/Emelin trade, and cancelled the Opkoso and Hamhuis signings. Adding Brouwer and Ladd plus Shipachev transforms our forward group. I'd be thrilled if Bergevin could pull off those 3 moves and dump DD.
