the only way that makes sense from Phillys perspective is if habs pick is very high. however, adding Ghost pretty much ensures habs make the playoffs. ghost is young, and signed to a very good contract. he had 65 points last season. if phily wanted to trade him they could get better pieces than that

ghost has had more points as a D then gally has had as an F. habs would probably need to add imo. and habs wouldn't trade Gallagher so there isn't much of a deal there to be made. I get ghost isn't great defensively but he can put up a lot of points as a D

yeah agreed. but if im mtl and a young top pairing LHD becomes available on the market whom has term, why wouldnt you trade a 1st rder for him. like a guy like ghost fits that category. maybe one of the guys in anahiem also fits. they've drafted/traded for a lot of forwards past few years. now they need a top pairing LHD and pp help. maybe brayden scheen? idk what he'll cost though

I Just think hes gonna cost quite a bit. over the last 4 seasons his PPG is slightly under PK Subban and more than Giordano, doughty, weber, suter. Am I saying hes a better D than these guys? absolutely not. but you gotta give credit where credits due. hes a great offensive D and he could fetch a nice haul

i agree. but if im mtl, brook, primeau, romanov, poehling and suzuki are the only untouchabales. besides that we should be open for business. a guy like petry could fetch a good return next year. we could have traded juulsen too, but poor guy has a serious injury. hope he gets well. he's a really efficient player. this is gonna be an interesting tdl i dare say. lots of teams are only a few points out of the playoffs!

Gallagher can score, what he bring to the team is more than only the points.

I think habs should just stand pat this TDL. maybe add some depth pieces but not be big buyers. like I said, ghost/fowler/lindholm would cost significant assets. Gardiner would cost 0 assets. I think that'll be habs 2019 FAF splash
