The return for Zaitsev makes sense, but not the team. Islanders don't need him. I don't think their D is that great but they don't need Zaitsev, no one really does at that cap hit. A cap floor team may take him though.

No way the Leafs trade Kappy and their best RD prospect unless they are getting a young RD with term on a contract. Leafs can't afford Alex P after this season when he wants the same as Gardiner or more.

Sure as hell not trading Parayko you guys don't even match Pietrangelo's worth sure as wouldn't match Parayko's.

why we trade Mart Martin there why not Zaitsev. As the cap goes up he contract would be better and better and Lou Knows that.

he has a full year and can be signed. What good futures a second line at best player a defenseman that we have other to replace him with and late round. to get a Quality Dman to help win the cup now.

Lou also knows that the contract is currently albatross and there is no room on the Isles defense. All three righty dmen the Isles currently have are better than Zaitsev

this is next season this summer when Alex still has a year left the year after Marleau contract is done Alex will be a UFA.

So Muzzin is gone after next season then as you would be giving all the Marleau money to Alex. Still don't think the Leafs do that trade. Alex will be on the decline and want 6 plus years.

no Muzzin stays the cap will go up as well. if he play declines there is always the LTIR, or buy out. Rielly, Muzzin, Pieterangelo, Dermott, Rosen, Sandin
