I don't doubt Nyqvist could get a 1st, but by the extension that he was priced at, he clearly isn't worth one...Nor is boyle worth a 2nd. I don't know what Poille is doing. Filling his 4th line with his future 1st and 2nds.

I see this a lot with Nyqvist and I don't get it. He can get a 1st in return, but then signs and extension for 5m or under.

Sure nyquist seems more like a 2nd and a 4th maybe but I wouldn't be shocked to see someone give a late first. The green trade is a big no. He's worth more to Detroit than 2 super average players and middle p icks. If they move him it's for something more substantial not spare parts we don't need.

That Edmonton trade is absolutely awful for Detroit. Spooner is garbage, He's buried and most likely going to be bought out as soon as the window opens. Kris Russell is a ok defensive defenseman but he's 31 and just about the opposite of what Detroit is looking for.

Is this a joke or what? As of right now both Carolina and Edmonton are Non-Playoff teams. No way would either Nyquist or Green waive their full NTC to go to either team. And if Nyquist only takes 3 x 4.5 he definitely stays in Detroit Wings beat writer Ansar Khan already said that Nyquist is asking for 5 years $30 million. You're crazy if you honestly think that Nyquist signs that low.
