More like Stone and a 1st for Laine, but even then i dont think its enough.
Laine is ice cold, but you cant just give him up for a good player and a single first.
The kid is going to be (probably) close to or even better than Ovi over the course of his career. I'd imagine he's pretty untouchable unless its for McDavid or something.

Ok, well obviously Peg wouldn't be sending any picks Sens way. As a Sens fan though, I can't fathom loosing Stone, but man if we got Laine back? that would be insane.

Probably close to or better than the best goal scorer of all time. Come on.

I believe i said "probably going to be" not is, so theres no need to be snippy.
He has the potential, its only a matter of whether he has the drive to do so and if the jets can surround him with proper talent to really maximize his goal scoring ability.

It's a wild statement you made and utterly ridiculous

You never know man, he's only 20, and has put up 105 goals. After 2.75 seasons that rounds out to roughly 38 goals per year.
Ovi is 33 and has put up 644 goals.
Starting from laine's first season in the NHL, at 38 goals per year, by the time Laine is 33 he should put up roughly 570 goals, if he continues at the pace he is on.

Obviously that is less than 644, but its pretty close. and that assuming he continues at the pace of 38/year, if he goes on a tear for a couple years that number raises quite a bit.
So yes, he has the ability to be close to, or even possibly as good.

Ovechkin had 163 goals thru his first 3 seasons. Let it go

I don’t think you appreciate just how unbelievable Ovechkin is. Laine will not touch Ovechkin’s career numbers. Give him an extra 150 goal handicap and he still won’t hit the number Ovechkin ends up at for goals.
